Leeds Grenville is a haven for kayaking and canoeing enthusiasts. We have many on-water trails and numerous bodies of water from which to choose.
Paddlers of all skill levels are drawn to this area because there is an archipelago of islands around which to explore. On the St. Lawrence River, from Gananoque to Brockville, the 1000 islands and waterfront shorelines have many stories to tell. The river has power boat traffic and a shipping channel, so conditions vary from calm to swift.
Another popular paddling route is the Rideau Canal. Featuring 24 lockstations, the canal runs from Kingston to Ottawa through some of Leeds Grenville's most scenic areas, villages and towns.
Many paddling services are able to help you plan your route.
