Getting Around

Enjoy it.  The scenery.  The calm.  No rush hour.  No sitting in traffic just to get a few blocks.  This is the life.

Leeds Grenville is a largely rural area where travel from community to community is typically by vehicle.  You can drive from one end to the other in less than an hour, but why would you?  There's so much to see!

Many roads in Leeds Grenville are named as numbered County Roads, but locals (and sometimes your GPS) may refer to roads by different names.  See a list of road names here.

Larger urban centres and towns of North Grenville, Brockville, Gananoque, Prescott, Westport and Rideau Lakes have taxicab service available. Taxicab companies are not typically based in every small community but service is offered by ones located nearby in one of the larger centres just a short distance away. The City of Brockville operates a bus transit system for travel within the city.

Scenic and special event travel also offer lots of adventure during your stay.  Boat rentals and cruises are very popular here.
